Daniel works with our clients to shape customised proposals to suit their strategic communications and marketing needs. With a legal background and experience of starting three thriving space companies, Daniel’s forte is business development and marketing — and he is forever striving to write the perfect tagline!
Before founding AstroAgency, Daniel oversaw incredible moments in the UK space sector as Director of launch vehicle company Skyrora, including the successful test of a fully 3D printed orbital rocket engine in Cornwall and what the BBC called “the UK’s first commercial launch in the NewSpace era” in the Scottish Highlands. As well as working with clients at AstroAgency, he is Director of launch brokerage firm Responsive Access and a long-term contributor to the Scottish Space Leadership Council and Cross-Party Group on Aerospace & Space at the Scottish Parliament.
Daria —or Dasha— is AstroAgency’s Head of Operations. She keeps AstroAgency on track by setting standards, monitoring tasks, and ensuring work is of the highest quality. When not busy keeping AstroAgency running smoothly, she develops innovative marketing strategies and maintains good relations with clients.
Before joining AstroAgency, Dasha held various roles in the space sector, including Business Development Manager, Executive Assistant and Delivery Manager. Alongside her space experience, Dasha has also spent time setting up brands, processes and concepts for start-ups. As well as bringing managerial, entrepreneurial, and marketing experience to AstroAgency, Dasha contributes her enduring love of llamas to the team!
Amy is AstroAgency’s account manager — she looks after AstroAgency’s clients, keeping projects on track and making sure our processes stay ahead of the curve.
Before joining the AstroAgency team, Amy brought her business expertise to software company SolarWinds as Project Marketing Manager, as well as a variety of other branding and marketing roles. With a business background —she graduated in Business Studies with Accountancy from the University of Edinburgh— Amy has a flair for branding, client management, and competitor research.
Outside of her day-to-day work, Amy has an eye for interior design, and creates bespoke pieces for her own brand. She also has a keen interest in wine and has obtained professional qualifications in wine tasting!
Hussain is one of AstroAgency’s account managers, responsible for providing insights and exceptional service to our clients. He also keeps clients' projects on track, making sure the AstroAgency team provides outstanding work to demanding schedules.
A trained aerospace engineer, holding both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Engineering, Hussain has a wide range of professional experience in business development. His previous roles have included Business Development Manager and Junior Consultant at the Satellite Canada Innovation Network as well as varied development roles at Ryerson University.
When not using his engineering and business development experience for the benefit of AstroAgency’s clients, Hussain can be found hiking or developing new skills.
Kate is an AstroAgency Marketing Executive — she works with all things digital and has a passion for producing creative solutions for our clients. At AstroAgency she focuses on social media and website analytics, visual design, creating documents, and developing solutions for a variety of digital problems.
Before AstroAgency, Kate gained experience in marketing, project development, recruitment and human resources. As well as holding a master’s degree in psychology, she has had a passion for space since first watching Star Wars at 5 years old. Outside of AstroAgency, she spends time composing and singing her own songs.
Lara has joined AstroAgency as Marketing Executive, where she works with clients to bring their marketing vision to life. She has previously held roles across Europe, with experience working in Milan and Munich building on her academic background in languages and business economics.
Outside of her work at AstroAgency, Lara has recently completed a master’s degree in Corporate Communications, Marketing and Public Relations at Leeds University Business School and has a passion for spaceflight and a fascination for the future of urban air mobility. When not studying or working with clients, you can find Lara stargazing or salsa dancing!
Anastasia is an AstroAgency Marketing Executive, working to promote AstroAgency and our clients by doing everything from event organisation to preparing documents and reports.
Prior to joining AstroAgency, Anastasia managed communications, creative content and event organisation for GU Rocketry - Glasgow University's Rocketry society. Alongside her role at AstroAgency she studies cellular and molecular biology at the University of Glasgow, with a particular passion for astrobiology — studying the distribution and origins of life in the universe. As well as her studies and working at AstroAgency, Anastasia is a gold medallist in giant slalom ski racing and speaks five languages.
Calum Turner is AstroAgency’s copywriter— preparing everything from social media posts to articles and website content while working closely with the marketing team to develop clients’ brands.
Calum studied astrophysics at the University of Edinburgh and now studies space systems engineering in Toulouse, France. Between master’s degrees he attended the International Space University and worked in science communication and media relations at the European Southern Observatory, where he coordinated a team of professional science communicators to share the latest breakthroughs in astronomy. Outside of studying, reading and writing about space, he has spent time playing in a Scottish street drumming band and rock climbing around Edinburgh.
Richard gives AstroAgency a technical edge due to his wide practical experience and depth of knowledge of the space sector. As well as working as a launch systems and strategic foresight consultant, he previously worked as Programme Manager at a SmallSat launcher company and as a launch systems and propulsion analyst for companies such as Reaction Engines, Airborne Engineering and Raptor Aerospace.
Richard has extensive experience across the space value chain, with technical expertise in launcher technology, rocket propulsion, trajectory analysis, deep space operations and mathematical strategic foresight. A Chartered Physicist, he has a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, an M.Sc in Remote Sensing (specialising in Planetary Physics), he studied for a PhD in Solar Astrophysics, and is a Member of the Institute of Physics as well as a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and the British Interplanetary Society.
Nic is AstroAgency’s Space Research Analyst. His continuing mission is to act as AstroAgency’s senior researcher, a role which ranges from technical deep dives into satellite ground stations to investigating spaceport repurposing.
With a background in astronomy and astrophysics and a PhD on galaxy evolution, Nic has broad experience of the field of extragalactic observational cosmology. He has worked as a researcher at institutions including the University of Edinburgh and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in California, giving him a detailed knowledge of the space research ecosystem.
When not bringing his insight into space sector research to the AstroAgency team, Nic runs and rows around his native Edinburgh and enjoys all that the city, region and Scotland in general has to offer.
