SpaceBar

SpaceBar was originally created to keep the international space business community in touch during pandemic lockdowns, providing a place for hundreds of space companies to network, share information, identify space investors or get advice on finding a job in the space sectors. It continues today “in person” at leading space conferences, such as the UK Space Conference in partnership with the UK Space Agency, and New Scientist Live, offering a place for delegates to reflect on stage about what they’ve heard about the latest space industry trends.

SpaceBar has been attended by multiple international Space Agencies, regional space clusters in the UK and beyond, leading space organisations like NASA, ESA and the UN, plus space enthusiasts, science fiction authors, investors and job seekers. It centres around discussion ‘panels’, with participants selected at random from online audience members raising their virtual hands. The space discussion panels could be made up of investors, CEOs, graduates or government representatives – bringing diversity of opinion and experience. Following the panels, the Space ‘Bar’ remains open until the small hours of the morning, with an open-mic format.

“It’s where astronauts like to hang out”

Tim Peake, British Astronaut

“Always a fun time, and probably one of the single best ways to learn about the space industry that I’ve ever seen.”

Nick Kellet, Deploy Solutions
