2025 - a Year of Growth, Collaboration and International Impact
2025 has defined what it means for AstroAgency to be a global agency and strategic partner for our client base from Tokyo to Toronto. As we enter 2026, we’re ready to take-off from the launchpad we created last year with renewed ambition and drive, but what happened in 2025 to get us here?
This year we built on our international work in countries like Australia, the UAE, Oman, Canada, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy and the USA. Our formal expansion into North America was marked by two Memorandums of Understanding, one in particular that caught the headlines was signed with Voyager Technologies. This marked the start of a strategic push to deepen our presence across the United States and Canada. The Voyager partnership will see AstroAgency collaborate on stakeholder engagement and the development of VISTA, a pioneering science park initiative where aim to establish our first North American office, while the MoUs were supplemented with the signing of new clients, Colorado-based launch firm LEAP and Canadian geospatial firm CATALYST, and a productive visit to the US facilities of our long-term partner, Orbit Fab.
These engagements accompanied our participation at Commercial Space Week in Florida and SmallSat in Utah. During the latter, our Chief Operating Office Daria Filichkina shared the stage with NOAA, Astroscale and the Secure World Foundation, a reminder that after six years and over 100 project case studies, our role as the pioneering space-focused communications agency continues to resonate across the industry.
This international expansion also went onto the other side of the pacific, where we started work with our first Japanese client, AxelSpace, and into the Middle East where we’re driving visibility for Etlaq Spaceport, Oman’s first commercial spaceport. European projects were enhanced by new partners too, with successful space projects completed for the International Space University, Space Denmark, Leaf Space and SEKO Logistics among others.
Starting the year with a return to the British Embassy Copenhagen, where our COO Dasha showcased Earth Intelligence case studies to financial services stakeholders – demonstrating how remote sensing via satellite data can unlock value across insurance, fintech and asset management. It set the tone for the rest of 2025, as a year defined by promoting the benefits of space technology to a range of new audiences, from sectors like finance, defence and agriculture to investors and career transitioners.
We were proud to envisage, plan and execute a multitude of campaigns for our clients across the year. We developed a plethora of strategic content for CATALYST’s INSIGHTS Horizon, Vegetation Management and Ground Displacement Monitoring Solutions, reaching end users across defense, security, infrastructure and rail stakeholders.
Spaceflux earned a clean sweep of multi-million-pound and multi-year UK government contracts to provide space surveillance tracking data across multiple orbital regimes. We supported Spaceflux’s campaigns on their way to winning the contracts through stakeholder engagement and amplifying their visibility across media and social channels.
Our copy and design team collaborated with Spire to generate case studies, positioning them as the go-to partner for organisations aiming to break into the space sector and maximise the value of space data. Alpha Data had a huge year reaching the AMD Premier Partner Status and launching their new Radio Frequency suite of capabilities.
Beyond the growth of our team and customers, 2025 reinforced our commitment to the bigger picture. We celebrated the first anniversary of our founder, Daniel Smith, being named as the Scottish Government’s Trade Envoy for Space, as he also joined the United Nations High-Level Expert Group on Data & Frontier Technologies for the Planet, contributing to the development of the Frascati Principles and the Global Environmental Data Strategy. Hosted at the European Space Agency’s (ESA) ESRIN site in Frascati, the initiative brought together industry, government and researchers to tackle one of the most complex challenges facing our planet: how we gather, share and apply environmental data to drive meaningful change.
Closer to home, the UK Space Conference in July was a highlight reel in itself. From co-hosting the SpaceWatch.Global live show with Torsten Kriening, to moderating the UK Space Agency’s Communicators Breakfast, as the conference’s official communications partner, and leading a dedicated Space Marketing Masterclass alongside our valued partners from Spaceflux and Orbit Fab, the event showcased how far marketing has come in our sector – from ‘nice to have’ to essential for start-ups, scale-ups and ‘Primes’ alike. And wrapping it all up with our official SpaceBar afterparty where we were joined by Dallas Campbell and Suzie Imber to entertain over 200 people after the conference ended, keeping the conversations flowing late into the Manchester evening.
Sustainability remained central to our mission. We partnered with ESA once again to coordinate signings of the Statement for a Responsible Space Sector at Space-Comm Expo Europe in London and Space-Comm Scotland in Glasgow, welcoming new commitments from organisations including CATALYST, Spaceflux, Skyrora, InnoForge and Thistle Rocketry. As the UK’s first commercial signatory, we’re proud to help drive this vital conversation forward.
This builds on our efforts in enabling sustainability in the space sector, playing a vital role in Scotland’s Sustainability Roadmap by the Environment Task Force, the world’s first. This was recognised at Space-Comm Scotland, where we organised the Sustainability Symposium, the roadmap was recognised by ESA’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Andrea Vena, as an inspiration for other countries adopting similar strategies. This was part of our support for Space-Comm Expo and Scotland, bringing together international, such as UNOOSA and ESA, with national and regional, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and South of Scotland Enterprise, policymakers and key industry players. Coupled with hosting the Scottish premier of Torsten Hoffmann’s “FORTITUDE: Forging the Trillion Dollar Space Economy”, it was a proud moment to share with astronauts, industry, policymakers and 200+ members of the public on how powerful communication and collaboration can make a profound impact.
A sustainable space industry also needs key talent to ensure it continues to innovate. We had the pleasure of working with the University of Edinburgh, Southampton, and closing 2025 by starting work on an incredibly exciting, long-term project with the fantastic International Space University that will support a new phase of evolution for the organisation under the leadership of new President, Dr. John Wensveen.
We also had the privilege of being selected for Amazon’s Innovation Accelerator programme – the only space sector company in the cohort. Learning from senior experts and adjacent industries gave us fresh perspectives on how we can continue to evolve and better serve our innovative clients.
The year ended with the onboarding a string of new Astro Agents who will help us boost our global offering and better support client projects throughout 2026 and beyond. Watch this space for more space job opportunities coming soon from AstroAgency and our partners.
To every client, partner and collaborator who joined us on this journey: thank you. We’ve grown together, and we’re adding AstroAgents to our team to further deliver into 2026 and beyond. The space sector truly feels like a community, and we’re energised by what we’ll build together in the year ahead.
Here’s to 2026, keep spreading the word! 🚀#SpaceForEarth
